Indonesia: Joint amicus by INCLO members, ‘Drop the charges’
Charges against Fatia Maulidiyanti and Haris Azhar relating to the alleged dissemination of “false information” do not withstand scrutiny under constitutional and international provisions.
Eleven INCLO members submitted their expert opinion to the East Jakarta District Court on defamation and fake news. Stop criminalizing Fatia Maulidiyanti and Haris Azhar. The amici invite the Court to dismiss all charges, this being the only outcome compliant with international law.
