Equality and Equity

We are all entitled to a life free of discrimination.

Structural inequalities, systemic racism, patriarchy and historic discrimination continue to cause inequality and marginalization.

Equality and equity are essential for the realization of human rights and the creation of a more just and inclusive world. Ensuring that all individuals, regardless of their background or identity, can enjoy their human rights without discrimination is a central part of INCLO’s work.

Discrimination and inequality often intersect along multiple axes, including race, gender, sexual orientation, disability and socioeconomic status. By addressing equality and equity issues, we can better understand and respond to the complex ways in which individuals experience discrimination and marginalization, and can make a profound and lasting impact on the lives of individuals and communities.

Our main areas of focus are sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, and sex characteristics (SOGIESC) rights, reproductive rights and accessibility.
